 Innsbruck 

From our centrally located hotel in the Old Town, we explored the very walkable attractions, shops and restaurants of this city.

          

   

During the 16^th century, Innsbruck was the capital of the Tirol region under Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I. In the Hofkirche (royal church) the Emperors empty tomb is surrounded by bigger-than-life bronze statutes of Maximilian ancestors.

    

 
Adjacent to the Court Church, the folk art Volkskunstmuseum travels through the lives of the average Tyrolean over the last several centuries.

    

 

A short bus ride from the town center brings us to the Swarovski Crystal World, a museum of crystal re-creations of famous artwork.
