Posting number 1 for July 7, 2016

Our changed itinerary has taken us on a tour of the Great Lakes. We entered Canada between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie and continued along the south shore of Lake Ontario to Kitchener.  We needed one day for motorhome maintenance at Roadtrek.  We then headed west and north in Michigan along Lake Huron until we crossed between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron at Mackinaw City on our way to Sault Ste. Marie.  There we crossed over the International Bridge between Lake Superior and Lake Huron into Canada again.  Since then we have been following the north shore of Lake Superior. Think HOMES.

Tomorrow we reach Winnipeg, Manitoba home of the original Winnie (the-Pooh).

Now for a little mathematics.  In Canada fuel is sold by the liter.  Today we paid the lowest price so far of $1.039  Canadian per liter.  To get the price per gallon, multiply this cost by 3.785 and then adjust for the exchange rate which is about $1 Canadian for  $ 0.75 US. Fortunately we are getting about 19 miles per gallon. Should be no complaints about the current fuel prices in the US.

We will discuss kilometers per liter at a future date.
